ZEM-61 – Wireless 3-Phase Electricity Monitor

The ZEM-61, a highly accurate Wireless 3-Phase Electricity Monitor, can monitor energy consumption patterns in equipment and buildings remotely via the NGR-30-3 Gateway. ZEM-30 – Wireless Single Phase Electricity Monitor

TES-21 / TES-22 Wireless Probe Temperature Sensor

The TES-2X a fully wireless, accurate Probe Temperature Sensor can record temperature data at regular intervals and make this data available to users via the NGR-30-3 Gateway for use in environmental monitoring and energy management applications. Single (TES-21) and dual probe (TES-22) versions are available.

The dual probe version is particularly useful for monitoring temperature in liquids or in areas where a temperature differential is of interest, such as the inlet and exhaust air temperature in a server cabinet or the flow and return temperatures in heating and cooling systems. Probe Options for TES-21 / TES-22 Wireless Probe Temperature Sensor:

ZPC-10 / ZPC-12 / ZPC-20 / ZPC-22 Wireless Pulse Counter

The ZPC Wireless Pulse Counter interfaces to electricity, water and natural gas utility meters (for example). Pulse readings are reported to the NGR-30-3 Smart Gateway at a configurable interval, pulse rate in Hz and total number of counted pulses. It usually represents a volume of liquid, gas, or electricity consumed. Large networks of multiple ZPC units can connect to the Smart Gateway and deliver data to a central location for detailed analysis of energy and water consumption data. The ZPC unit is available as a battery-powered unit (ZPC-1x) or a mains-powered unit (ZPC-2x).

Single channel (ZPC-x0) and Dual channel (ZPC-x2) versions are also available.

The ZPC is designed for situations where a legacy utility meter exists and retrofit of additional metering equipment is difficult or unnecessary. In data centers or manufacturing plants, facility managers may not be able to disconnect an electricity or gas supply, but may have access to a pulse output from existing meters. The ZPC is an extremely rugged, cost-effective and easy-to-deploy solution for monitoring legacy utility meters within commercial and industrial buildings.

ZDI-10 / ZDI-12 / ZDI-20 / ZDI-22 Wireless Digital Input

A digital input sensor used to interface with and provide information on the status of dry contact switches. Changes to the state of the switch are reported to the NGR-30-3 Smart Gateway as they occur. Large networks of multiple ZDI units can connect to the Smart Gateway to deliver data to a central location for detailed analysis. The ZDI unit is available as a battery-powered unit (ZDI-1x) or a mains-powered unit (ZDI- 2x).

Single channel (ZPC-x0) and Dual channel (ZPC-x2) versions are also available.

The ZDI Wireless Digital Input reports the current state of a dry switch (relay, alarm sensor). The type of data produced is 0 for open state and 1 for closed state. The ZDI reports changes to the state of that switch as they occur, time-stamped to the nearest second. The ZDI also reports the number of state changes and the percent in a particular state on a timed basis. The ZDI unit can be used to monitor the state of typical alarm sensors, such as reed switch door/ window sensors, or can be used to monitor the on/ off state of any machine, provided the machine is fitted with a digital output that opens and closes depending on the run mode of the machine.

RTO-21 Wireless Range Extender

The RTO-21 Wireless Range Extender can increase the range of a wireless sensor network by up to 300 meters line of sight, or up to 1000m2 in a typical commercial / industrial environment. Data is automatically routed from wireless nodes in a mesh network through the range extender and back to the NGR-30-3 Gateway.

The RTO-21 is perfect for connecting wireless nodes that have been deployed at the extremities of large buildings to the Smart Gateway, which would otherwise be out of wireless range. Many RTO-21 units can be used in a chain to extend the wireless sensor network to even greater distances.

Increasing the number of range extenders also improves the strength and reliability of the mesh network by providing redundant paths for nodes to link to the Smart Gateway.

SSK-10 Site Survey Kit

The SSK-10 site survey is used to map the wireless signal strength within a building, so users can accurately specify the number of range extenders that will be required for a monitoring system. The kit includes three battery powered ‘nodes’ – one of these nodes acts like the Gateway on a normal network, and the other two devices act like range extenders.

The site survey kit is an essential tool for any large scale or multi-site installation, and the nodes can be re-charged from a USB port after each site visit.

By positioning the Gateway node in the location where the Gateway will eventually be installed on site, and then walking around the environment with the range extender nodes, you can mark-up a site plan with the exact locations that range extenders will be required for the live system. Each site survey node has a traffic light system to inform the user of the signal strength in a given location.

STARTER-KIT-1 Starter Kit (Small / Electricity)

The Small Electricity starter kit is perfect for monitoring electricity consumption in a building/area with an annual electricity spend of up to €10,000 / $10,000 per year. It includes one ZEM-61 3-phase electricity meter (120A per phase CT’s), one RTO-21 range extender and one NGR- 30-3 Gateway.

This starter kit has everything you need to start monitoring electrical consumption accurately and securely – just power the meter from a 3-phase supply, clip on the CT’s, plug in the Gateway nearby and connect it to your LAN, and start analyzing data to improve efficiency and reduce cost.  The NGR-30-3 Gateway can export data to many software applications, or can be used to view live data. The RTO-21 Range Extender will extend the range of the wireless network by approximately 1000m2 in a typical industrial / commercial environment.

STARTER-KIT-2 Starter Kit (Medium / Electricity)

The Medium Electricity starter kit is designed for buildings or production lines with an annual spend of up to €50,000 / $50,000 per year. It includes one ZEM-61 with 600A per phase CT’s (for the main electrical supply), one 300A ZEM-61 for the most significant electrical load, and three 120A ZEM- 61′s.

The kit also includes three RTO-21 range extenders which will each provide additional wireless coverage for approximately 1000m2 of an industrial / commercial environment. The ZEM-61 electricity monitors will also form part of the mesh network and route data between each other further strengthening the wireless sensor network.

The NGR-30-3 Gateway collects a live feed of data from the meters and can export this data to a wide range of 3rd party software applications. Alternatively, the data can be downloaded from the Gateway and imported to Microsoft Excel for analysis.
