It is designed to work with both voice and data communications systems. 197 inches of antenna cable is included and attached to the antenna. The antenna includes a bulkhead connector to allow it to be installed on the roof of a vehicle with only one hole.

The AT 1621-212 is an Iridium mobile portable auxiliary antenna. With a convenient magnetic mount, this compact, pocket-sized antenna can be moved between vehicles, providing improved reception for handheld Iridium satellite phones. Designed to meet DO-160C.
